I have to say, I was skeptical at first, but I committed to it and am so happy I did. After a few short weeks, I saw myself get leaner and my endurance improved. In the weeks to follow, I started hitting new personal records…I just noticed that I felt so much more energetic during my workouts. Before I knew it, I had dropped 14 pounds and had set records in almost every lift, and I felt great. It is an understatement to say I went from skeptic to advocate.
After 6 weeks, I found that I had a lot more energy throughout the day and felt like I recovered much quicker after workouts. After the 6 weeks, I had lost almost 20 pounds and was down almost 9% body fat with little or no muscle loss. Since then I’ve set a lot of personal records in my lifts. I can say that whenever I “cheat” and do not follow the program for even a few days, I can definitely feel a negative effect on my body.
I have learned that I can adapt my lifestyle, my diet, and my approach to nutrition in a positive way to reach the goals I have set for myself. I have learned that, despite my nearly complete and total failure to take care of myself physically all these years, I can improve my level of fitness, reverse adverse health conditions, and improve my quality of life through 2 simple processes: nutrition and exercise. At almost 50 years old, I have several years of experience in health and fitness. As a Physical Fitness and US Army Combatives instructor and as the owner of a health and fitness studio, I have spent many years helping people improve their health and physical performance.
Through my own experience and struggle with managing my weight and trying to find the best way to stay strong and active as I get older, I’ve learned valuable lessons that I’ve built into the APEX TRAINING SYSTEM.
I designed the fitness program to increase your body’s capacity to do work. The goal is to make you stronger and ready to take on whatever the world throws at you.
I follow an animal-based nutrition plan that prioritizes protein-rich foods and eliminates any foods that cause interference with the optimal function of our bodies.
